Box Forward Shafts

Thirty-inch carbon shafts built for the offensive end of the box floor. Box forwards take more contact per possession than any field position — cross-checks on every cut, hacks on every roll, and a defender's stick on your hands the whole shift. These are the two shafts we build for that.

Which one

Darkhorse-175 — 175 grams. The quicker of the two. Best if you play off a fast release, live on your inside hand, and want the stick to feel like an extension rather than a tool. Also available as a 2-pack.

Darkhorse-210 — 210 grams. Thirty-five grams heavier, and that weight is wall thickness. If you're a bigger body who plays through contact on the crease, or you've broken shafts before, this is the one. It also carries our Transition & Defense tag, because plenty of two-way players run it both directions.

Why weight matters more in box than in field

Field players choose weight for shot speed and stick handling. Box players choose it for survival. The floor is 200 by 85 feet with boards — there's nowhere to run, so contact is constant and close. A shaft that survives a season of field lacrosse can have a very different life indoors.
