Every shaft here is built for the outdoor game. Two decisions to make: length, which your position dictates, and material, which is a real choice.

Length is your position

Material is the real decision

It comes down to how the shaft behaves the day it finally gives.

Carbon composite is lighter at the same strength, flexes to add snap to your shot, and holds grip textures metal can't. When it fails, it breaks — usually mid-check, usually with no warning.

Scandium-titanium alloy dents or bends instead. A dented shaft is still a shaft. You finish the game and replace it on your schedule.

Worth knowing before you assume: our metal 60″ pole is lighter than our carbon one — 385g against 425g — and it costs $55 less.

Weight by position

  • 145g–155g — attack and offensive middies chasing hand speed.
  • 175g — the balanced short stick. Two-way middies. Our most popular.
  • 185g — the Sc-Ti short stick, for players who want metal.
  • 210g — short stick D and anyone who has broken a shaft.
  • 350g–450g — long poles. The 425 is the pick if you snap poles.

All Primo shafts are NFHS and NCAA legal. Warranty runs 90 to 365 days by model — see the warranty table. Every shaft carries a 30-day trial guarantee: play with it, send it back if it isn't right.
