Every Primo product carries a limited warranty against breaking or becoming unusable under normal playing conditions. If your gear fails, we'll replace it, send a replacement of equal value, or issue store credit. Claims are reviewed within 5 business days.

How long is my Primo shaft covered?

Coverage runs from your date of purchase and depends on the model.

Do I have to send my broken shaft back?

No. We don't ask for the broken shaft. Fill out the Warranty Claim form on this page with a photo of the break and a short description of how it happened, and that's everything we need. No return shipping, no boxing up a snapped pole, no waiting for it to arrive before we look at your claim.

Note that this applies to shafts. Head warranty claims are handled by our manufacturing partner and follow a different process — see below.

How does the warranty work on a 2-pack?

2-packs do not carry a separate warranty — the second shaft is the warranty replacement. You get your replacement up front, in your bag, on the day you order, instead of waiting on a claim.

I bought an Obsidian shaft. Am I still covered?

Yes. The Obsidian line is discontinued, but Obsidian shafts are covered for the same period as the matching Darkhorse model number. An Obsidian-175 gets the same 180 days as a Darkhorse-175.

How are Primo heads covered?

The RC1, RC1 N2O and Darkhorse heads carry a lifetime warranty, handled by our manufacturing partner. Submit all head warranty claims through 5lax.com/warranty — not through Primo.

Head warranty conditions:

• Normal play only. Damage from abuse, intentional breakage, or use outside lacrosse isn't covered.
• You pay shipping on the returned head.
• All claims are processed through 5lax, not Primo.
• Valid in the US and Canada only. We do not ship head warranty replacements internationally.

What isn't covered?

• Chips and scratches. These are expected during regular play and aren't defects.
• Products won in giveaways or promotions. Free product is excluded from the limited warranty.
• Damage outside normal playing conditions. The warranty covers gear that fails while you're playing lacrosse with it.

My shaft broke during a game — is that a warranty claim?

Yes, if it happened under normal playing conditions and you're inside the warranty window for your model. Carbon composite fails by breaking rather than bending, and a shaft that snaps in normal play is exactly what this warranty is for. Chips, scratches and cosmetic wear are not.

Do I need my receipt?

Yes. Original proof of purchase is required to process any claim. If you bought direct from primosportsco.com, your order confirmation email is enough.

How do I make a claim?

1. Fill out the Warranty Claim form on this page. Include a photo of the break and a short description of how it happened.
2. We review it within 5 business days and come back to you with next steps.
3. Once approved, we ship your replacement. You don't need to send the broken shaft back.

One of three things, depending on stock: a replacement of the same product, a replacement of equal value, or store credit.

How is this different from the 30-day trial guarantee?

They cover different problems. The warranty covers gear that breaks. The 30-day trial guarantee covers gear that simply isn't right for you — return any shaft within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange, with free return shipping inside the US. No defect required.
